Sherief Elsayed undertook his Advanced Spine training at the world-renowned Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery, Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. Eighteen months of Fellowship training included 12 months of deformity training directly under the supervision of leading lights in Spinal Surgery - Mr Hossein Mehdian, Mr Michael Grevitt and Mr Phil Sell. Amongst other topics, he learned all he knows about degenerative spine pathology from Mr Magnum Tsegaye.

Sherief Elsayed expresses great gratitude to all the other consultants there, whose contributions to the daily Multi-Disciplinary Team meeting (and more) helped him to have a well-rounded training in the complex field of Spinal Surgery: Mr Bronek Boszczyk, Mr Masood Shafafy, and Mr Nasir Quraishi.

A highly active and respected member of the unit, Sherief helped to mentor numerous Junior Doctors and Fellows during their time in Nottingham and beyond.

Following on from Fellowship training, Sherief Elsayed undertook a 6 month post as a Locum Consultant Spinal Surgeon in Nottingham.

It is during his time in Nottingham that he founded NSpine.

Now settled in Brighton, Sherief Elsayed applies his expertise to a substantive post as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon.
